This week: app 180 minutes. Speaking: zero. Oh.
The fix
👵🙂
"Tá mé go maith, go raibh maith agat!"
Six weeks later
- A streak measures habit, not skill. Duolingo is great for daily recall, but it mostly trains reading and tapping answers.
- Speaking and listening need their own time. Add native audio like RnaG or TG4 and a few minutes of speaking aloud each day.
- Log minutes by skill. A weekly split shows which skill the app is quietly skipping.
The Irish Gaelic Self-Study Progress Tracker at https://kimnet8.gumroad.com/l/kanmzp logs listening, speaking, reading and writing time in separate columns, so a long app streak can't hide a zero in speaking. Keep the streak, and let the weekly totals tell you what to add next.
